Business Trip Down South

I just made my first ever real business trip. I packed a tiny little bag and got on the train without having to worry about checked luggage. This wasn't a day trip, but nevertheless I would be in Tbingen (June 27th) (southern Germany) less than 24 hours. I'm in charge of all things computers in AIESEC Germany, this includes several servers that are not located in my office. We had just bought a new server and I needed to set it up, but we have a lot of proprietary software that I'm not familiar with, so I needed to do it with somebody who was. So I found myself in sunny southern Germany. Tbingen is a university town one hour from Stuttgart. There are about 70,000 people and nearly a third of them are students. The town has little canals running through it and its narrow cobblestone streets are colourfully lined with old houses and big brick businesses. It is also the first town in Germany I've visited that wasn't bombed during the war. It clearly has an older feel to it, and yet one is hard pressed to find a grey hair on the streets.

Unfortunately, my time was short and I found myself at the train station at 5:30 the next morning to speed back to Cologne. And speed really is the appropriate word, sure driving on the autobahn is fast, but the trains get up to 300km/h at some points.
